Ilán Valdés
Ilán Valdés, is a Peruvian multidisciplinary artist currently residing and working in London.
Ilán created a photography series spanning from 2015 to 2020 titled LATEX, an exploration of identity that at the same time tries to separate the photographer from the subject by changing the technical characteristics of the photography trying to match their identity. The project seeks the model's involvement in constructing the aesthetic, thus addressing the question: Can you capture the artificial characteristics of individuals in a photographic project with samples that vary but maintain cohesion?
