Suzon Lagarde

Suzon Lagarde is a French emerging artist based in London. Painting and drawing are at the core of her practice, and most of her work is done from life. Suzon finds direct observation to be a wonderful chance to loose herself in moment and discover the nuances and beauty present around. For this period, Suzon had to leave her studio and life drawing for some time, as she is now isolating at home: a tiny canal boat.

 

She takes this as an opportunity to try painting the interior and little objects acting like totems, anchor of joy and reminder of friendships. Suzon embraces painting now more than ever, full of gratitude for having art to go through some more difficult times.
